The Essence of Sound Healing: Art, Science, and Tradition
Prerequisite Course | 1 Day (8 Hour Course) | $350
In this introductory course, we'll embark on a journey to demystify sound healing, delving into its therapeutic applications, the profound impact it has on our well-being, and its rich historical roots across various cultures. We'll explore the intricate relationship between sound and healing, shedding light on how vibrations interact with the body's Chakra System, meridians, and reflex zones. Join us as we uncover the foundational principles behind this ancient practice, bridging the gap between art and science, and unlocking the secrets of sound healing. In this one day course we will explore:
- Introduction to the basics of sound therapy
- Overview of therapeutic benefits of sound
- Initial exploration of sound applications
- Preparation for advanced techniques in the main program
This prerequisite course qualifies you to enrol in the Full School of Sound Canada Program, which offers immersive weekend learning experiences over 6-8 month program that ends with a graduation.

Course Overview ~ 8 hours
Fundamentals of Sound: The Essence of Sound Healing: Art & Science and Tradition is a great introduction to Sound. It is also the way to prepare for our comprehensive School of Sound Program. We require students to complete this Prerequisite Course before attending the Sound School Program:
The day will be divided into 4 sections, each section being around 1 hour and 30 minutes long with breaks in between. There will be a lunch break at midday.
First Module: Introduction to Sound Therapy ~ 1.5 Hours

Second Module: The "WHAT" of Sound Therapy 1.5 hours
- Group or Individual Applications
- Drum circles
- Flute Circle
- Sound massage
- Nada yoga
- Sound Reiki
- Harp Therapy
- Sound technologies
- Discussion on how sound therapy and Music therapy differ.
Third Module: Demonstration 2.5 hrs
Live Demonstrations of Sound Therapy Applications including:
- Sound Reiki
- Sound massage
- Singing bowl class exercise
