Limit of 14 students for In Person Training starting February 2026

Accredited and reviewed by the International Sound Therapy Association

Students can choose to study for the Foundational Diploma which requires an additional 24 hours of electives or they may choose our Advanced Diploma which requires an additional 64 hours of electives and apply for certification with the  International Sound Therapy Association.

Please note: Electives are open to everyone, not just students of School of Sound. You are welcome to take any of the Electives regardless of if you sign up for School of Sound or not.

What are the dates?

Classes are held at the Sound Journey Store in Beamsville Ontario (Lincoln) and run from 9 am to 5 pm.  Running February to  November 2026.

In Person Core Training Dates:

February 21st: Introduction to the Fundamentals

February 22nd: Introduction to Sound Journey Instruments

April 18th: 5 Element Theory in Ancient Traditions / Power of Voice and Vocalization

April 19th: Tuning Fork Theory

June 20th: Metal and Crystal Bowls

June 21st: The Mystical Gong

August 29th: Percussion, Drums, Rhythm & Chimes / Vibro-acoustic Tables and VR Therapy 

August 30th: Group Sound events and Guided Meditations

Supervision Class Saturday November 21, 2026

Live Virtual Dates

February (Exact date to be determined): Trauma Informed Workshop   

August 8th: Ethics and Business Basics 

Other Responsiblities

Students will also have the following responsibilities to be completed to receive their diploma.

• Attend Prerequisite Class "Essence of Sound" to ensure that our program is the right fit for you, and to learn about the Essence of Sound.
• Watch several online educational videos and write a one page report for each video.
• Complete an intensive reading list and write a one page report about each book.
• Complete 30 Case Studies.
• Choose from a variety of  Electives to complete your required hours (Each elective has it's own set fee, but most average around $350 for 8 hours) A variety of classes will be offered in person, Live Virtual and Streaming.  While it is recommended to complete your electives during the year of 2006, exceptions can be made for students who need more time to complete their electives.
  
• Give and receive 3 sessions to up to 3 different teachers on staff. (Because we have a wide range of teachers who teach just one weekend a year for us, you will be responsible to pay each individual teacher for their time as per their rate schedule)
