Discover the unique sound and craftsmanship of this hand-hammered stainless steel CanPan, a specific brand of handpan, expertly crafted by Luc Dupuis, a renowned Canadian handpan maker. While a PeacePan is produced from start to finish in Canada, the shell of the CanPan is internationally sourced before it is expertly tuned by Luc, ensuring exquisite sound quality at a lower price than a PeacePan. See the video in the listing to hear the difference between a CanPan and PeacePan.
Handpans offer resonant, ethereal tones that lends itself well to learning new melodies, intuitive improvisation, promoting mindfulness, reducing stress, and use in sound therapy retreats and yoga sessions. The tuning of each handpan is intentionally set to a specific scale where all notes sound good together, regardless of the player's skill level. This makes handpans an appealing musical instrument choice for beginners, as well as more advanced players, since they require no prior knowledge of music theory.
The 21" diameter of this particular handpan is a standard handpan size, making it compatible with many accessories, including stands and mics. It comes with a carrying case. The 21" handpan is small enough to rest on the lap comfortably yet at the same time creates a deeper and more resonant sound than smaller instruments.
This CanPan is tuned to the key of D Kurd, known for its mystical sound quality with a dramatic and emotional tone.
